One of my favorite times of year is one of those “blink and you’ll miss it”: peony season. I love the tender ruffles of each petal, the whole flower seemingly going through several iterations of itself before it’s fully in bloom. And Peonies At Glencoe Farms is one of the spots you don’t want to miss this spring.
Just a few minutes off hwy 26, this sweet Hillsboro farm comes alive with a beautiful array of flowers. The farmers will give you scissors and tips (touch the bulbs gently, looking for a “marshmallow” feel) before letting you choose your bounty for a bouquet. Deep reds to gentle whites, choosing won’t be easy!
