Have you ever sat down to do something, and three hours later you wonder how you even started on the current project? No, just me? 😉 Well tonight was one of those times. I sat down to renew a couple of library items, and the next thing I knew it was after midnight and I’d finally done some major tweaking on the blog that I had wanted to do. It started out with a few things, and before I knew it, I was channeling my inner 17 year old self and changing up HTML like my Livejournal was back from the dead. But how could I do all that and not even share one post?! So here we are, and I love this one.

Kim’s little family met through one of my shoots at My Precious Kid and when she asked me to do a mini lifestyle session in their home for their Christmas photo, I was SO excited. It’s a privilege to be invited to my family’s homes, and to be honest sometimes I have to get creative with lighting, but *SAPPY ALERT* it is seriously gives me warm fuzzy sunshine feelings to be able to create tangible memories in such an important place. This is probably because I grew up in the same house for 18 years, that my mom also grew up in. We may not live in the same place our whole lives, but some buildings maintain special feelings or memories. Which is why both my husband and my dad have taken me on driving tours of old neighborhoods – memories come alive in the places we grew up. Here are a few of my favorites from their session:
