It’s been a little quiet over here and usually bloggers apologize for this but I’m not going to today. 😛 You see life has been a little tough for our family lately, and we’ve been busy making up for that by enjoying the beautiful summer as much and in as many ways as possible. Beach time, camping, berry picking, zoo tripping, family visiting, movie going, park playing, new food tasting, pool swimming, dog walking, kabob BBQing – yeah we’re packing it all in. 🙂 I’ve overheard this conversation more than once in the past few weeks: “But really – we have the BEST summers.” I have to giggle a little because it sounds like they’re really trying to convince themselves that the months and months of rain really aren’t THAT bad. But yes, Oregon has shown me that summers are really beautiful up here – the humidity has gotten to me more than once – but most days are sunny, blue skies above and all that rain means a gorgeous green and fruitful summer. Even though I have to admit that I found myself day dreaming about a pumpkin spice latte yesterday, I’m enjoying all this fun with my family. And as we enjoy this last month of summer, I’ll leave you with a few photos from our beach/camp out for my birthday last month. 🙂
